# Terms

*Last updated October 4, 2026.*

Night Shift at Mother Bear's is a free browser game made to promote Mother Bear's Pizza in Bloomington, Indiana. These are the terms for playing it and the rules of the free-pizza giveaway that runs with it. By playing the game or claiming a code you agree to them. If you don't, please don't play.

## The short version

- The game is free. There is no account, nothing to buy and nothing to install.
- Beat night five during the giveaway and you may get a code for one free pizza, while codes last.
- Four codes unlock each day. If they are gone when you win, come back the next day and replay night five.
- Codes are one per person and are good at any of our three locations, in person at the counter, by November 2, 2026.
- We don't collect your name, your email address or anything else that identifies you.
- Play fair. Codes got with scripts or tampering can be refused.

## Playing the game

The game is a work of fiction. Its characters are made up and are not based on, or affiliated with, any real person.

It is a lighthearted spooky game, and it contains jump scares, sudden loud sounds, flickering and flashing images, and video static. If those are a problem for you, including if you are sensitive to flashing lights, this game may not be for you. Mind your volume, especially on headphones.

You need no purchase to play, and playing does not oblige you to buy anything. If you are under 13, play with a parent or guardian's permission.

## The free-pizza giveaway

The giveaway is run by Mother Bear's Pizza. No purchase is necessary to take part.

- **How to get a code.** Win night five of the story (not the custom night). If a code is available at that moment, the win screen shows it to you.
- **How many, and when.** There are 100 codes in total. Four more become available each day at 11 AM Bloomington time (Eastern), from October 5 through October 31, 2026, and no more than eight are ever waiting at once. Winning the game does not guarantee a code.
- **If the day's codes are gone.** The win screen says when the next ones unlock, and the game keeps your place: come back then, choose Continue, and you start from night five instead of night one. You still have to win night five again to claim a code.
- **One per person.** Each person may claim and redeem one code. The game hands one code to a browser and shows that same code again if you win again.
- **What a code is good for.** One free pizza at any of Mother Bear's Pizza's three locations. The shop decides the size and options that are included, and whether it is dine-in or carryout; ask at the counter. Tax, tip, drinks and anything else you order are on you.
- **How to redeem.** Show your code at the counter of any of the three locations, in person, on or before Monday, November 2, 2026. Staff check it against their list and mark it used. Each code works once. A code that is not on the list, has already been used, or is shown after that date is not valid, and the shop's list is what counts.
- **Keep your code.** Copy it or take a screenshot. It is tied to the browser you won in, so clearing your cookies or switching devices can lose it, and a lost code cannot be looked up or replaced.
- **No cash value.** A code cannot be exchanged for cash or credit and cannot be sold.
- **Changes.** Mother Bear's Pizza may pause, change or end the giveaway at any time, for example if something goes wrong or pizzas run short. Codes already handed out stay valid through November 2, 2026 unless they were got by breaking these terms.
- **Where.** The giveaway is void where prohibited by law.

## Fair play

Play the game yourself, in a browser, the way it was built to be played. Don't use scripts, bots or other automation to play or to claim codes, don't tamper with the game, its cookies or its requests, don't make up or guess codes, and don't flood the site with traffic. The site limits how fast any one source can send requests. Codes got by breaking these rules can be refused at the counter.

## Privacy

There are no accounts. We do not ask for or store your name, email address or phone number.

- **What is counted.** Anonymous page visits (roughly where a visit came from, the country, and phone versus laptop), and anonymous events in the game: a night started, won or lost and how, whether a hint appeared, whether a code was claimed or copied, whether a loss was shared. The first time a browser starts a night, that event says so, which is how new players are counted. It counts browsers, not people, so one person on a phone and a laptop counts twice. If the game crashes, the error and the kind of browser it happened in are recorded so it can be fixed. None of it is linked to you, and nothing links one of your visits to another.
- **Cookies.** Two, and only when you go for the prize. `night5` records when you started night five, so a code can't be claimed without playing. `claimed` records which code this browser already received, so the game can show it again. Neither identifies you.
- **On your device.** Your progress, unlocks and volume settings are saved in your browser's own storage and never leave it. So is a one-word marker that this browser has started a night before, which is what lets the game count a new player only once. Clearing your site data resets all of it.
- **Other services.** The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which also provides the visit counts. It sees the request your browser makes to it, as any web host does.

## Who owns what

The Mother Bear's Pizza name and logo belong to Mother Bear's Pizza. The game, its artwork, photographs, recordings and writing belong to their makers and to Mother Bear's Pizza. You are welcome to play, and to share screenshots, clips and the game's own share images. Please don't copy the game or its artwork into something else, or use it to sell anything, without permission.

## No promises

The game is provided as it is, for fun. We try to keep it running, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of bugs, or that your saved progress will survive. To the extent the law allows, Mother Bear's Pizza and the people who made the game are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from playing it or from being unable to play it. The most anyone is owed under these terms is the one free pizza a valid code is good for.

## Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated, and the date at the top says when they last were. The version on this page is the one that applies. They are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana.
